Packers who could receive contract extension 5: Adrian Amos

Adrian Amos has done nothing but exceed expectations since coming via free agency from the Chicago Bears. And at 28-years-old, he’s probably ready to continue playing at a high level for at least another few years.

Amos has become a leader in the secondary and has taken Darnell Savage under his wing and helped him develop. The tandem continued to get better and better as last year went on and were one of the best safety pairings in the entire NFL.

With two years remaining on his deal and his cap number set to balloon from $5.9 million this year to $11.9 million in 2022, Green Bay could try to agree to an extension to free up some room on next year’s cap sheet. Amos has certainly deserved it and the Packers would love to keep him around for years to come.
