Tier 3 – Jason Spriggs, Trevor Davis, Kyle Murphy

.These last three guys had a tough time of it in the NFL and haven’t made their way to many starting lineups.

Jason Spriggs was the big bust of this draft as a second-round pick who only started nine games in three seasons with the Green Bay Packers. It’s even more painful because they traded up to get him, using a fourth and seventh-round pick to move up nine spots.  With the Bears last year, he didn’t make a single start, and his NFL career may be over because he’s currently a free agent who likely doesn’t have many suitors.

Trevor Davis was a pretty talented return man taken with a sixth-round pick. He averaged 11.2 yards per punt return with the Packers and was their main punt and kick returner in his second year in 2017. He never really got going as a wide receiver and only totaled 122 receiving yards here in Green Bay, but he did catch a touchdown in his rookie year. For where he was selected in the draft, he wasn’t a bad value.

Finally, Kyle Murphy was the last selection for the Packers in this draft in the sixth round. He started 3 games in 2017 and played 22 percent of Green Bay’s total snaps that year but never made his way into the regular starting offensive line. He’s still sticking around in the league, most recently signing with the Saints, where he’ll try to make the 53-man roster.
