Tier 3 – DeAngelo Yancey, Kofi Amichia, Devante Mays, Malachi Dupre

This final tier is guys that never really made it in the NFL or are still trying to become a regular on a roster. The first is DeAngelo Yancey. The 5th round pick that the Packers drafted him with was traded 3 separate times before he was finally taken, but for all the times it got passed around it was ultimately pretty inconsequential. He never made a 53-man roster and was only a practice squad guy for two years before being out of the NFL altogether.

Kofi Amichia, a guard out of South Florida, also never quite made a 53-man roster, but was in the league for longer as a practice squad player. It appears he’s out of the league now after not making the 49ers final cut in 2020.

DeVante Mays, whose pick was acquired by the Packers in the trade that also netted them the DeAngelo Yancey pick, also never made an NFL roster, but did get some playing time after being elevated from the practice squad in 2017. He totaled seven touches, four carries and three receptions, but only totaled one rushing yard and none receiving. His biggest downfall was fumbling twice and for a play who’s already on the fringes, fumbling is pretty much a death sentence.

Malachi Dupre was the Green Bay Packers’ final pick in this draft and wasn’t much different than the other guys in this tier. He was likely taken for his 6’2″ frame and 39.5 inch vertical, but never could make it stick in the NFL. In his three year career, he totaled five snaps in regular-season play and didn’t make any catches.
