Packers facing key contract year 2: Marquez Valdes-Scantling

The entire Packers wide receiver room could be on this list, as their top five guys are all entering contract years. Although I won’t touch on them all, we’ll start with Marquez Valdes-Scantling here before moving on to the alpha in the next slide (spoiler).

Valdes-Scantling stepped up in a big way when Allen Lazard went down with an injury last season. Although he’s not consistent with catching the ball, he does consistently get open deep. His speed is a burden on defenses and something they must account for at all times. I expect a huge year incoming for Valdes-Scantling so don’t be surprised for him to get a contract that matches it.
