The Green Bay Packers had a monster offensive season in 2020, as head coach Matt LaFleur completely rejuvenated this unit and hand them firing on all cylinders.

After struggling for a few years before LaFleur’s arrival, the Packers’ offense was litty last season. For starters, they ranked first in the most important categories: scoring. They scored the most points in the NFL (509) and scored on the highest percentage of their drives (49.7 percent). They also had the fewest turnovers in the league (11). The impressive stats could go all day.

As impressive as that was there is a little skepticism they can repeat that performance at such a high level. They’re bringing just about everyone back on offense (minus Corey Linsley and Jamaal Williams), but there are high draft picks ready to step up and replace them. Still, a lot can change from one year to the next, so let’s look at three guys who could see their stats regress in 2021.

These three offensive players on the Green Bay Packers are set to see their statistics regress in the 2021 NFL season for a number of reasons.

3. Robert Tonyan

Robert Tonyan is yet another example of how tight ends need a couple of years in the NFL to learn the position and adapt. In 2018, he only had four receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown. That jumped up to 10 receptions for 100 yards in 2019 before shooting up to 52 receptions for 586 yards and 11(!) touchdowns last year.

It’s hard to imagine that number continues rising next season, but it could certainly be within his realm of possibilities. What’s most likely, however, is that those numbers regress; even if slightly. It will be especially hard for his touchdown numbers to remain that high. Don’t be surprised to see Tonyan’s numbers dip a bit considering the return of Josiah Deguara.
