Cornerback (6): Jaire Alexander, Kevin King, Eric Stokes, Chandon Sullivan, Shemar Jean-Charles, and Kabion Ento

When it comes to the ‘star’ cornerback role, I’m expecting that both Jaire Alexander and Darnell Savage see more snaps there this season, as could Adrian Amos, but I’ll venture to guess that Sullivan still sees his fair share as well. Jean-Charles is primarily taking snaps in the slot during practice, but his real impact early on will be on special teams.

Perhaps the biggest surprise that I have on this roster prediction is Kabion Ento. He’s a converted corner who has battled injuries the last few years, but I really think Green Bay likes him. If you recall, he was on the initial 53-man roster last year, and he can provide special teams help as a gunner—a position that he lined up at in mini-camp.

You‘ll also notice that there is no Josh Jackson or Ka’dar Hollman. The fact that both were healthy scratches at the end of last season really tells us all we need to know.

Safety (5): Adrian Amos, Darnell Savage, Will Redmond, Vernon Scott, and Henry Black

I know many won’t want to see Will Redmond’s name here, but as they say, where there’s smoke, there’s often fire. I believe that he is one of the four or five players competing for playing time in the slot where he took a third of his snaps last season, and Andy Herman, who was in attendance at mini-camp, would tweet out that Redmond was a regular in the nickel and dime packages—he’s also a valuable special teams player.

I really like Vernon Scott’s versatility and coming from TCU where he played a lot of two-high safety, I believe he’s a good fit in this Joe Barry defense. Those four were the easy selections, but I did go back and forth between Henry Black and Christian Uphoff for that final spot.

While there’s a lot to like about Uphoff, he has just one year of starting experience in college, and that was two years ago in 2019. For that big reason, I’m going to choose Black, but I won’t be surprised at all if Uphoff makes it or gets called up from the practice squad at some point.

Specialists (3): Mason Crosby, JK Scott, Hunter Bradley

I know there is an extra punter on the roster and two long-snappers to compete with Scott and Bradley, but I don’t know enough about any of those players to sit here and tell you that they will beat out the incumbents. So Scott and Bradley are both on the 53-man.
