Interior Defensive Line (5): Kenny Clark, Kingsley Keke, Dean Lowry, TJ Slaton, and Tyler Lancaster

Again, another fairly easy position to project. Clark, Lowry, and Keke are locks, Slaton probably is as well, and Lancaster’s experience will put him past the other players fighting for a roster spot.

Edge Rusher (5): Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Rashan Gary, Jonathan Garvin, and Tipa Galeai

The first three names are a given, and Garvin is loaded with potential. I ended up choosing Galeai as my fifth edge rusher because, as Ross Uglem pointed out in the Cheesehead TV draft guide, unlike Mike Pettine, who liked big edge rushers, the Los Angeles Rams utilized smaller edge players. Assuming Joe Barry’s system is similar to that of Brandon Staley’s, I see Galeai being a good fit for what he wants to do.

Linebacker (4): De’Vondre Campbell, Kamal Martin, Krys Barnes, and Isaiah McDuffie

This is an interesting position. Based on what we saw in 2020, it’s safe to say that both Martin and Barnes are safe and could be the future of the position here in Green Bay. When it comes to the recently signed Campbell, with how his contract is structured with voided years, it’s clear that he isn’t going to be cut.

That leaves Oren Burks and Ty Summers on the outside looking in. The two have primarily been special teams players, which is a role that McDuffie can make an impact in right away, so I believe the Green Bay Packers choose the cap savings instead.
