Packers with brightest future 3: Darnell Savage

Darnell Savage came on strong after a slow start to his sophomore campaign. After then defensive coordinator Mike Pettine finally figured out how to use him, he paired with Adrian Amos to create one of the best safety tandems over the last eight or so games of the regular season and continuing into the postseason.

Not yet 24-years-old, Savage looks like he’ll be a staple in this Packers’ defense for years to come. He’s a versatile safety who is just finding his own as a playmaker and difference-maker on defense. The coaching staff raved about him all last summer and talked about how excited they were to see this guy play. Turns out they were completely on the mark.
