Reason Packers still shouldn’t trade Aaron Rodgers 1: Built to win now

If Rodgers is traded, it’s likely it wouldn’t be the last major trade Green Bay makes. Without him, the complexion of their roster changes entirely and it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibilities they go into a full rebuild mode and trade other veterans such as Davante Adams or Za’Darius Smith.

This version of the Packers is built to win now–as evidenced by their back-to-back NFC Championship appearances. They’ve pushed their salary cap hell into 2022 and will likely have to make some major and difficult cap-saving moves in the very near future. As for now, they have pushed all their chips into the middle and are trying to win now.
