Tight Ends (5)

Robert Tonyan, Marcedes Lewis, Josiah Deguara, Dominique Dafney, Jace Sternberger

Tight end is one of the most difficult positions to predict heading into the summer workouts. Robert Tonyan, one of the breakout players of the 2020 season, Marcedes Lewis, an elite in-line blocker, and Josiah Deguara, a versatile 2020 third-round pick who missed most of his rookie season due to a torn ACL, are all locks to make the roster. It gets dicey after that.

Dominique Dafney seemed to leapfrog Jace Sternberger late last year. Dafney is another great blocker at the position–something Matt LaFleur seems to really like–and Sternberger struggled mightily down the stretch. It’s entirely possible the Packers only go with four at the position which would make for an interesting battle between Dafney and Sternberger. Would general manager Brian Gutekunst really cut a 2019 third-round pick?
