Packers 2021 NFL Draft: The good, the bad, the grade
The Bad
The Packers reached for just about every single pick with the exception of Rodgers. It’s clear they were working from their own board and trust their process–we’ll find out if it works in a few years.
The Packers’ first pick of Stokes surprised a lot of folks. There were a number of good players still remaining including Teven Jenkins, Trevon Moehrig and Christian Barmore. There’s a chance Stokes could’ve still been on the board in the second round.
Speaking of the second round, Myers was another reach and there were clearly better centers still available including Quinn Meinerz and Creed Humphrey. Gutekunst continues this trend on Day 3, as each guy he selected was ranked much lower on most analyst’s boards.
