Packers draft Amari Rodgers: The grade

At the end of the day, the Packers addressed another long-term need and got someone who can potentially contribute both in Year 1 and down the road. They did that with their second-round pick of Josh Myers and again here.

Rodgers brings a different type of player to their team and is someone who is more dynamic than Ervin was in the motion role. Rodgers may be more of a gadget player to begin his career, but that’s okay. LaFleur has shown the ability to design players open and get the ball in his playmaker’s hands early. He might’ve gotten himself another playmaker with this selection.

Yes, Rodgers has warts to his game, but he fits onto the Packers very nicely. Green Bay moved up in the draft to get him which shows they really like what he has to offer. Another solid pick for the Packers to end their Day 2.
