Packers selection Round 6 (214th overall): Jonathan Adams Jr., WR, Arkansas St.

As I mentioned in the opening, I would’ve loved to grab a wide receiver before this point, but it just wasn’t feasible with how the draft board fell. I had to reach a bit to even grab this pair in the sixth round. Although wide receiver isn’t an immediate need the Packers don’t have a player at the position under contract in 2022. They’ll need to add some young, cheap talent as they won’t be able to bring everyone back on escalated contracts.

Jonathan Adams Jr. would give Green Bay another vertical threat. He has the deep speed to get behind defenses and open up the underneath routes for his teammates. He also possesses the size the Packers love as he stands 6-foot-3. As of now, he can only run deep routes and lacks the route-running to get open anywhere else. The good news is he’s especially good at them.

Packers selection Round 6 (220th overall): Tre Walker, WR, San Jose State

Tre Walker may be the exact opposite of Adams Jr. He’s a bit on the shorter end at 5-foot-11 and he lacks elite speed. The good news is his agility is off the chart and he’s a nightmare for defenses once he gets the ball in his hands. He’ll need a year or two to add some much-needed muscle, but that could pay off if Green Bay can stash him.
