Packers selection Round 3 (81st overall): Jamin Davis, ILB, Kentucky

I’m not sure how likely it is that Jamin Davis is still around in the third round, but he was in this PFF mock draft so I jumped all over him. Green Bay already has two interesting younger players in Kamal Martin and Krys Barnes, but Davis is clearly the most talented of the three. He has elite size for his position–something you know will attract the Packers off the bat–and is able to use that to shoot the gaps and get into the backfield. He’s also a solid tackler. He has a lot of seasoning to do, but Green Bay should be able to bring him along slowly with Martin and Barnes in the mix.

Packers selection Round 3 (92nd overall): Kelvin Joseph, CB, Kentucky

The Packers desperately need cornerback help and this position is a real target in the earlier rounds. However, I addressed other needs with earlier picks and was able to grab a good player in the late third round. Kelvin Joseph may lack a little in the height department, but he’s long enough to make up for it. He also plays with a contagious swag and isn’t afraid to come up and hit someone. He’ll need to work on maturity and discipline at the next level.
