Packers 2021 NFL Draft Big Board 3.0: A diverse top five
10. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, ILB, Notre Dame (Previously 12)
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah rose a couple of spots in this week’s Big Board mostly because his talent is undeniable. Green Bay could certainly use a talented player in the middle of their defense, but they’ve proven time and time again they don’t prioritize the position.
9. Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota (Previously NR)
Rashod Bateman separates himself from the previous wide receiver grouping because of his ability to be a more traditional receiver and get open by himself. He’s a great route-runner with equally great hands. That sounds like a recipe to quickly earn Aaron Rodgers’ trust. His athleticism is one major question mark.
8. Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State (Previously 6)
7. Alijah Vera-Tucker, IOL, USC (Previously 4)
These next two guys would be huge boosts to an offensive line that has lost a lot of talent in recent years. Teven Jenkins is ready to start right away at right tackle and has amazing strength he uses to toss around opposing defensive lineman. Alijah Vera-Tucker has fallen on this list in recent weeks due to his projection as an interior offensive lineman instead of a tackle. Still, he’s talented and would give Green Bay an immediate starter on the interior.
6. Greg Newsome II, CB, Northwestern (Previously 5)
Greg Newsome II is a prime candidate for the Packers to trade up for if they can move into the low 20s. He’s a versatile cornerback who can play multiple positions and multiple coverages. He has great feet that allow him to stick with receivers in and out of their breaks.
