Packers’ step for perfect 2021 NFL Draft: Add offensive tackle depth at some point

The Packers are in an interesting conundrum at tackle this offseason. On the one hand, they have two quality players in David Bakhtiari and Billy Turner. In Bakhtiari, they have a franchise cornerstone for the foreseeable future despite his immediate availability being unknown due to his ongoing recovery from a torn ACL he suffered in late December. As for Turner, they have an immediate player they know they can count on to play either tackle position, but there are long-term question marks about his abilities.

That leaves Green Bay in need of some tackle depth–both in the short term until Bakhtiari is ready to return to the field and long-term as a potential replacement for Turner on the right side. It will be hard to find someone in the middle rounds who can play right away, but they can figure that out as they go. It’s important they add some depth at the position after losing some key guys over the last two offseasons.
