Packers Mock Draft Round 2 (62nd overall): Quinn Meinerz, C, Wisconsin-Whitewater

The Packers get Linsley’s replacement in Round 2–giving us two immediate starters in two rounds.

Quinn Meinerz’ ascent in the NFL Draft is an amazing story. He wasn’t even a rated recruit coming out of high school but has turned himself into an early-round draft prospect through his play at Wisconsin-Whitewater and Senior Bowl week.

He has great strength that allows him to move guys off the line and create holes for ball carriers. He’s also a smart player and doesn’t get fooled by stunts and other moves the opposition pulls. His size is another plus at 6-foot-3 and 320 pounds. It will take him some time to get used to NFL-caliber competition, but he should be ready to play right away.
