3. Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU (Previously 7)

Although the Packers already have two good starting safeties in Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage, adding a third like Moehrig could put this secondary over the top. Considering the nature of today’s pass-heavy offenses, a fifth defensive back has basically replaced a second inside linebacker as a starter. That means Moehrig, who’s both a hard-hitter and ball hawk, could get on the field immediately and play significant snaps.

2. Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech (Previously 4)

Farley is one of my favorite prospects in this class and I’d be elated if he falls in Green Bay’s lap. He’s a big, physical cornerback who also has the top-end speed to run with any wide receiver in the NFL. He also knows how to play the ball in the air–something Green Bay desperately needs. He’d be a great selection.

3 OT Packers could target in first round. dark. Next

1. Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina (Previously 3)

Horn would also be a wonderful pick for Green Bay, but he’s more of a pipe dream than anything else. In reality, most of the guys in the top five would have to have some serious slippage on draft night for the Packers to even have a chance at getting them. Back to Horn–he’s an athletic freak who would compliment Jaire Alexander nicely at the opposite corner position, giving Green Bay the best trio of corners in the NFL.
