It’s no secret the Green Bay Packers need and want to improve at cornerback this offseason. Corners not named Jaire Alexander were constantly picked on and embarrassed in the NFC Championship game and more teams are going to follow that strategy in 2021 unless the issue is addressed.

So far, the Packers have done nothing to improve it, as they’ve re-signed Kevin King–one of the main victims–and haven’t added any outside players. Part of that could be due to their limited resources in free agency. Perhaps, they are just waiting for the draft.

Well, the good news is I’ve outlined a cornerback Green Bay could take in each round of the 2021 NFL draft. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at who will be available in each round.

With the Green Bay Packers needing to add some young talent at cornerback, here’s a corner they should target in each round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

7th round: Chris Wilcox, BYU

The Packers love athletic players and Chris Wilcox fits that bill. His Relative Athletic Score–a tool that combines all measurements and formulates a number between 0 and 10 with 10 being the most athletic–is 8.81 (anything higher than 8 is considered elite). That alone will get Green Bay’s attention. He also has good height at 6-foot-2 and was a solid tackler in college. Unfortunately, he has terrible ball skills and an injury history full of red flags which hurts his draft stock immensely.
