The Green Bay Packers have a number of huge question marks at the cornerback position that have yet to be answered this offseason. Those concerns will linger heading into the start of meaningful games and will likely be addressed early in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Fortunately, the Packers have stud corner Jaire Alexander anchoring them on one side of the field. However, the newly re-signed Kevin King and likely returning Chandon Sullivan provide more questions than answers behind him. With guys like Patrick Surtain and Jaycee Horn projecting to go in the top half of the first round, let’s take a look at three corners Green Bay should target with their first-round pick in the upcoming draft.

Even after signing Kevin King, the Green Bay Packers should target any of these three cornerbacks with their first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

3. Asante Samuel

Asante Samuel will be a fan-favorite with whatever team he’s drafted to. He talks the talk and, even better, walks the walk. Despite his size (5-foot-10 and 184 pounds), he’s extremely physical and uses that to his advantage. He’s also a solid tackler who doesn’t allow many yards after the catch. Pairing him with the also slight Alexander could give Green Bay problems, as Samuel doesn’t have the same physical tools Alexander does to make up for his lack of height. He’s projected to go in the early second round so Green Bay could jump on him if he’s still on the board at the end of Round 1.
