The Green Bay Packers and general manager Brian Gutekunst have been super busy this offseason, even if they have yet to sign an outside free agent to their team. That’s the life when you are forced to get your team under a depressed salary cap.

At this point, the franchise has nearly exhausted all of their options to create more cap space which means the likelihood they’ll sign outside free agents is even slimmer. Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, however, let’s look back at every move they’ve made so far and hand out individual grades.

With the first week of free agency coming to an end, let’s grade every offseason move the Green Bay Packers have made so far.

Cuts

Christian Kirksey: B+

These were two of the easiest cuts for the Packers to make. Christian Kirksey was surpassed as the starting middle linebacker toward the end of the season and never impressed during his short stay in Green Bay. And with two young inside linebackers chomping at the bit, this move made sense.

Rick Wagner: C-

Rick Wagner, on the other hand, was a more difficult cut to swallow especially considering David Bakhtiari’s ACL recovery and the lack of other tackle options on the roster. Wagner played well last season and would’ve stuck around in any other normal year.
