Packers’ mock draft round 5 (173rd overall): Caden Stearns, S, Texas

The Packers are looking for a third safety behind Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage and they could find one in Round 5. Caden Stearns can play all over the field which would give Green Bay plenty of flexibility at the position. He’s also an extremely smart player who started 28 games for Texas and comes in with plenty of experience. He’ll need time to become a consistent contributor, but he could be a nice Day 3 steal.

Packers’ mock draft round 5 (177th overall): Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Oklahoma

I also added a running back with their second selection in this round. Despite Jones returning and A.J. Dillon holding down the second spot in the committee, LaFleur likes to have 3 guys who he trusts to run the ball. Stevenson has a mean stiff arm and can be a bully in the run game. However, he’s also proven to be shifty in small spaces and has some potential to be a solid backup down the road.
