Packers 7-round 2021 NFL Mock Draft: Post Aaron Jones signing
Packers’ mock draft round 3 (92nd overall): Ben Cleveland, G, Georgia
Although guard isn’t necessarily a position the Packers need after the first pick in this draft, I went with one here for a couple of reasons. First, Ben Cleveland was the highest-rated player on PFF’s board when my selection was up. Secondly, with the news of Lane Taylor visiting with the San Francisco 49ers, the Packers could be losing another key guy upfront.
Cleveland has a lot of experience at Georgia, as he’s entering the draft as a redshirt senior. He’s a big, mean dude at 6-foot-6 and 354 pounds and plays like it too. He’s the aggressor in the running game and brings the fight to the opposing team. He also holds his own in the passing game and makes pass-rushers go around him since they can’t go through him. He’d add good depth up front for Green Bay and should develop into a legit starter with time.
