The Green Bay Packers find themselves in a very tight financial spot after surprisingly re-signing Aaron Jones on Sunday. That means they’ll have to go bargain hunting to address needs, especially big ones on the defensive side of the ball.

Fortunately, there are a number of guys who Green Bay could target in free agency at cornerback–one of their biggest weaknesses heading into the offseason. Let’s take a look at three free agents they could add to their roster to provide support opposite stud Jaire Alexander.

The Green Bay Packers could target any of these three cheap cornerbacks in 2021 free agency to bolster the position of need.

Honorable mention: Cameron Sutton

If the Packers are looking for a versatile corner who can play outside and in the slot, look no further than Cameron Sutton. Sutton was a primary slot player throughout his career, but was forced to play on the outside some during his final year with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although he’s better inside, he did prove he can play all over the field. He would be a cheap, versatile player Green Bay could add to their roster as their nickel or dime corner and be an immediate upgrade in 2021.

3. Bashaud Breeland

The Packers are familiar with Bashaud Breeland and they could bring him back for his second run in Green Bay.  Still only 29-years-old, he’s basically a replacement-level player. However, that’s what Green Bay is looking at considering the little money they’ll have to spend (if any). His addition would give the Packers someone their okay starting immediately while also targeting the position through the draft and searching for a long-term option.
