Packers Round 6 (215th overall): Malcolm Koonce, EDGE, Buffalo
With just three picks left, the Packers add edge rusher Malcolm Koonce to their roster. Preston Smith’s future is unclear and Gutekunst recently hinted that Green Bay may very well end up keeping him. Regardless, Koonce could carve out a role in a couple of years. As of now, he’s a developmental prospect, but he possesses great athleticism, good length and a motor that never stops.
Packers Round 6 (221st overall): Josh Ball, OT, Marshall
Despite grabbing an offensive tackle with their first pick in this draft, they add another one in the sixth round. Josh Ball will need a couple of years of development, something the Packers should be able to provide him, but he could turn into a starter-level player down the road. He has good athleticism and was good in pass protection in college.
