Packers Round 4 (107th overall): Tyler Shelvin, IDL, LSU

With the first of three selections in the fourth round, the Packers stick on the defensive side of the ball. After addressing their secondary, they add another player at a position of need in interior defensive lineman Tyler Shelvin thanks to the Jaguars’ pick. Shelvin should be able to play on early downs as a run-stopper which is exactly what the doctor ordered for the Packers. At 6-foot-3 and 372 pounds, he’s nearly impossible to move off the line of scrimmage.

Packers Round 4 (135th overall): Kylin Hill, RB, Mississippi State

Considering the bleak futures of running backs Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones, Green Bay adds a running back to complement projected starter A.J. Dillon. He’s an extremely versatile running back who can be the lightning to Dillon’s thunder.

Packers Round 4 (142nd overall): Sage Surratt, WR, Wake Forest

Sticking to the offense, the Packers add some depth at wide receiver with the selection of Sage Surratt. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard and Equanimous St. Brown should all return in 2021, but are all unlikely to in 2022. By going with a wide receiver here, it allows Surratt to learn the offense for a year before having expectations to contribute placed on his shoulders heading into Year 2.
