Packers Round 3 (92nd overall): Trill Williams, CB, Syracuse

Green Bay circles back to a huge position of need in the third round and select another defensive back, this time it’s cornerback Trill Williams out of Syracuse.

At 6-foot-2, Williams would provide Green Bay with some size at the position opposite Jaire Alexander (much like they had with Kevin King). Williams will be at his best at the outside corner position, but also has experience playing in the slot and at safety in college. He has great physical tools as a long, rangy corner who is also athletically gifted and plays with aggression. There’s a lot to like from a physical standpoint.

The Packers’ defensive coaches will have to work with him on his fundamentals, and that will determine just how successful he can be in the NFL. However, Williams could be a steal in the third round for the Packers.
