Packers Round 2 (33rd overall): Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame

Despite trading down, Green Bay is able to get a player at a position of need who should be able to start from Day 1. Liam Eichenberg is a redshirt-senior out of Notre Dame who has the ability to start at left tackle until David Bakhtiari is fully ready to return and then move over to the right side full-time. He’s part of a talented group of offensive tackles who are available late in the first and early in the second.

Packers Round 2 (62nd overall): Jevon Holland, S, Oregon

With their second selection both in the draft and this round, the Packers take a best player available approach by selecting safety Jevon Holland. Green Bay doesn’t necessarily need another safety considering they have Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage. However, they often use three safeties given the pass-heavy offenses and Holland would add another versatile player to the mix. He can play in any scheme and all over the field, giving new defensive coordinator Joe Barry three such players.
