Avery Williamson

Avery Williamson is another player who can provide depth at the position for the Packers. After being selected in the fifth round of the 2014 draft, he spent the first four and a half years of his professional career with the New York Jets. He then moved on to the Pittsburgh Steelers over the last half of last season.

Hungry to play on a winning team, Williamson could compete with Barnes and Martin for reps with the starting unit, but also provide some depth in the case of an injry (Martin has a concerning injury history). He’s very durable and has a few 100-tackle seasons under his belt. Better yet, he won’t break the bank for the Packers.
