Free agent cornerback Packers should target: Richard Sherman

The Packers and Richard Sherman have been unofficially linked multiple times this offseason as a veteran cornerback wanting to play for a winning team and a cornerback-needy team who would love a short-term solution.

After spending his entire career with the Seattle Seahawks, Sherman moved to NFC West division rival San Francisco 49ers in 2018. He’s coming off an injury-riddled season, but he can still provide some short-term production on the field and leadership in the locker room. He could also mentor any young player or rookie the Packers will likely bring on. Sherman isn’t even close to the type of player he was earlier in his career, but he could be a nice cheap option for the Packers.
