Free agent cornerback Packers should target: Xavier Rhodes

Here’s a player Packers’ fans are likely familiar with. After being selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Xavier Rhodes spent the first seven years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, earning the nickname “Rhodes Closed” due to his hot start to his NFL career. During that time, he earned three Pro Bowl honors and one All-Pro nod as well.

Unfortunately, his career went downhill fast during the latter part of his Vikings’ tenure, as injuries appeared to sap his ability on the field. However, he righted the ship with the Indianapolis Colts last season and could return to the NFC North in 2021. He’s an aggressive corner who could compliment Alexander well on the opposite side of the field.
