Packers round 4 (134th overall): Keith Taylor Jr., CB, Washington

With their first selection in the fourth round, the Packers go with their second straight cornerback in Keith Taylor Jr. Although Packers’ fans may still be having flashbacks from the last lengthy cornerback the team drafted out of Washington, Taylor would help improve their depth at the position. He projects as an outside-only cornerback in nickle and dime packages. That may not be ideal, but it’s something the Packers can work with in the fourth round.

Packers round 4 (142nd overall): Alim McNeil, IDL, NC State

With their second selection in this round eight picks later, the Packers add some depth along the defensive line. With Dean Lowry’s future in jeaporday in Green Bay and the questionable play from the unit as a whole the last two years, adding a defensive lineman (or two or three) at some point in the offseason is a must. Alim McNeil is a big body who plays the nose tackle spot in a 3-4 alignment and excels in stopping the run. Sounds like a match made in heaven.
