Packers round 2 (61st overall): Trevon Moehrig, S, TCU

The addition of Trevon Moehrig, a safety out of TCU, would allow Amos and Savage to more freely roam the field instead of forcing them to stick back in coverage. That alone would be a big boost to a defense that played at its best over the last half of the season when their two safeties were doing just that.

Moehrig typically played as a single-high safety in college and can cover a ton of ground when the ball is in the air. He also has a knack for forcing turnovers, something Green Bay could do more of. Last, but certainly not least, he’s capable of coming up and stopping the run; something the Packers have struggled with in recent seasons.
