Packers extend Davante Adams

This is the easiest decision the Packers have this offseason. At 28-years-old, Davante Adams is coming off his best season and appears to be hitting the top of his career arc. He caught a whopping 115 passes for 1374 yards and 18 touchdowns last year. Oh, and he did it in just 14 games.

Adams couldn’t be stopped by a single defender all season long, and sometimes could barely be contained by two. He’s entering the final year of his contract in 2021 and will count about $16.8 million towards the Packers’ cap. Green Bay should immediately extend him to a new deal, which would allow them to save up to $9.3 million on this year’s cap. That’s a win-win for both sides.
