The Green Bay Packers are likely facing a lot of turnover at their running back position this offseason, as both Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams are set to hit the free agent market. And with A.J. Dillon as the only true running back on the roster, they may want to check out which other free agent running backs they can add to the team.

I’m still a fan of franchise tagging Jones for between $8-11 million next season, but it’s very likely they lose both backs considering the depressed salary cap. If that’s the case, here are five lower-tiered running backs they could target on the open market.

The Green Bay Packers could target any of these five running backs in free agency to bolster their backfield for the 2021 season.

Packers’ running back to target in free agency: Malcolm Brown

Malcolm Brown is an uninspiring option by most accounts, but he is, at the very least, a dependable veteran. He’s not one who would take carries away from Dillon next season, but he could spell the second-year back when necessary. Brown is coming off the best season of his career when he had 101 rushes for 419 yards (4.1 yards per carry average) and five touchdowns for the Los Angeles Rams.
