Packers’ mock draft Round 5 (172nd overall): Javian Hawkins, RB, Louisville
With two more selections in the fifth round, I took running back Jaivian Hawkins with the first go-around. Hawkins would be a great option in the Tyler Ervin/Tavon Austin role and could be a playmaker out of the backfield in the passing game. He’d also be a good compliment to A.J. Dillon as a smaller, shiftier back.
Packers’ mock draft Round 5 (178th overall): Drake Jackson, IOL, Kentucky
With the second pick this round, I added Drake Jackson, an interior offensive lineman who best projects as a center, to the squad. Corey Linsley is a pending free agent and is likely gone, so I wanted to add additional help up front to avoid Rodgers running for his life like Mahomes. Jackson will have the opportunity to develop into a starting-caliber center a couple years down the road.
