Davante Adams

Following a monster 2020 season that saw Davante Adams accrue 115 receptions for 1374 yards and 18 touchdowns, Adams established himself on the shortlist of top wide receivers in the NFL. Despite being the Packers’ primary offensive weapon, Adams routinely torched secondaries and consistently found himself open and catching passes from Aaron Rodgers.

As a result, Adams is set to count $16.8 million against the cap in 2021–the fourth-highest on the roster. If Green Bay wants to reward him for his stellar play, they can extend his contract while simultaneously lowering next year’s cap hit by $4-6 million. That sounds like a win-win to me.
