3rd most disappointing Packer: Jace Sternberger

Another high draft pick, Jace Sternberger was the Packers’ third-round selection in 2019. He was hurt for most of his rookie season, but made it back on the field for the end of the season and the playoff run. That led some to believe he could be the future of the tight end position in Green Bay.

Unfortunately, he took a gigantic step back in 2020. He started the year getting every opportunity to earn a lead job, but failed to capitalize. With Robert Tonyan rising to the occasion, Sternberger fell to the back of the pack. He only accrued 12 receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown. Even worse, he was a healthy inactive from Week 13 on.
