Green Bay Packers Unrestricted Free Agents

As I said in the beginning, this is the most well-known type of free agent; with four or more years of accrued NFL seasons, they are literally free to choose where they want to sign and what contract they receive. That is unless they receive the franchise tag, but in a year with a decreasing salary cap, I highly doubt that Green Bay will take on such a heavy cap hit in 2021 by placing it on any of their unrestricted free agents.

Aaron Jones: I would love to have Jones back, but he is going to get a much bigger contract on the open market than Green Bay will be willing to pay him.

Kevin King: That was a tough finish to his career in Green Bay.

Corey Linsley: Finding a way to bring Linsely back and keep this dominant offensive line intact would be priority No. 1 for me this offseason. But again, I don’t think it’s in the cards given the contract he will receive and the cap situation.

Jamaal Williams: I could see Williams being back. My guess is he tests the market but could make his way back to the Packers in 2021, depending on how that goes.

Tyler Ervin: If they draft a gadget-type player — which they should — I don’t think they bring Ervin back.

Lane Taylor: Taylor has been on IR for a majority of the past two seasons but was the Week 1 starter at right guard. Perhaps the injuries drive his price down, and the Green Bay Packers can bring him back to compete and add depth on the offensive line. This is my hope anyway.

Damon Harrison: I’m glad Gutey brought Snacks in; however, he won’t be back.

James Burgess: He will be gone as well.

Billy Winn: And so will Billy Winn.

Marcedes Lewis: If Lewis wants to continue playing, the Green Bay Packers will bring him back. Matt LaFleur has discussed how important he is to this team with his blocking ability, and Aaron Rodgers has mentioned what Lewis means to the locker room.

Jared Veldheer: There will be no Jared Veldheer with the Green Bay Packers in 2021. At least not right away–I’m kidding!

Tavon Austin: Again, very glad Gutey brought him in mid-season, but I don’t see Austin returning.

Will Redmond: This is a tough one. Redmond knows the defense and isn’t going to cost much. But he did struggle. If I have to guess, I’ll say he’s back.

Montravius Adams: With little depth on the defensive line, I’ll say they bring Adams back. However, that doesn’t mean he’s on the Week 1 roster.
