The Green Bay Packers ended a historic two-year run in a disappointing fashion. Since head coach Matt LaFleur took over at the helm, the green and gold have gone 28-5 (including the postseason), won the NFC North twice, secured two first-round byes and advanced to the NFC Championship game twice. Unfortunately, they are likely to have a bunch of turnover heading into the 2021 season.

Similar to other professional sports leagues, the NFL took a financial hit this season due to COVID-19 and their 2021 salary cap will pay the price. It’s actually dropping which messes up every team’s financial plans for next year, including the Packers. Green Bay also has a bunch of pending free agents they weren’t going to be able to keep regardless. With that being said, let’s check out five players who have likely played their final snap for the Packers.

5. Jamaal Williams

Jamaal Williams might have the best chance of anybody on this list to return, but that is unlikely at this point. Williams is a pending free agent and will likely go chasing a starting job and a big payday elsewhere. He’s proven to be a reliable backup, but doesn’t have the necessary wiggle and explosiveness Green Bay would like in their starting back. The only way Williams returns is if he can’t find a big paycheck elsewhere and return to Green Bay for one season until the salary cap normalizes.
