3 reasons Packers lost NFC Championship to Buccaneers

The Green Bay Packers lost yet another heartbreaking NFC Championship, this time to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship game. With the Packers’ comeback falling short, you can add it to the painful list along with Championship games against the Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers.

There is plenty of blame to go around, and no this article will not be about the officiating. Sure, it was a highly questionable call that iced the game, but Green Bay had plenty of opportunities to take control. Let’s take a look at three reasons why they lost in the NFC Championship game…again.

3. Pressure

Pressure on Aaron Rodgers was a big reason Green Bay got boat raced in the first contest, and it reared its ugly head once again. Rodgers was sacked five times and the offensive line dearly missed stud left tackle David Bakhtiari. The Bucs’ edge rushers routinely beat Billy Turner and Rick Wagner on the outside and were a huge reason Green Bay didn’t score their season average on Sunday.
