The Green Bay Packers must work to disguise these three weaknesses, as they try to make a deep run in the 2021 playoffs.

The Green Bay Packers won 13 games for a reason. They are a team who methodically moves the ball up and down the field and converted in the red, er, gold zone at an extremely high rate. They also leaned on their best players to get the job done when the game was on the line. However, they aren’t a team without warts.

Green Bay has three clearly defined weaknesses heading into the playoffs that they must address or disguise if they want to make a run at the Lombardi Trophy. In many ways, these issues aren’t new and have persisted over recent history. Regardless, here are their three greatest weaknesses heading into the postseason.

3. Run Defense

This isn’t a new issue for the Packers, as they were bounced from the 2020 playoffs thanks to their complete inability to stop the San Francisco 49ers running game. They’ve gotten a little better this season, especially recently, but it’s still a question mark. Other than Kenny Clark, the Packers don’t have a defensive lineman who can consistently win upfront. At least they didn’t until they signed Damon Harrison. If they get matched up against a run-heavy team, this is something to keep an eye on.
