Aaron Rodgers vs. Mitch Trubisky

This matchup is not about outright winning it, but rather by how much Rodgers should win it. If Rodgers straight-up plays worse than Trubisky, then this is almost definitely a loss anyway. It is more about whether Rodgers can outplay him by such a noticeable margin that makes this a clear huge skill gap.

Trubisky had an extremely tough start to the year, being benched even though his team was winning games and then dealt with some injury issues. It seemed like the end of the Trubisky era, along with coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace. However, in the last four games, he has potentially done enough to keep their jobs for another season. They’ve scored at least 30 points in all of those games, and he’s completed 72.4 percent of his passes in that time. He’s also thrown seven touchdowns and just two interceptions, which has added up to a passer rating of 108.5. However, he hasn’t thrown for over 300 yards in any of those games.

While Trubisky has been fighting for his job every week, Aaron Rodgers has been on the MVP track all year long. If you’ve been living under a rock, I’ll give you a quick rundown. He’s leading the league in passing touchdowns, touchdown percentage, passer rating, quarterback rating, and adjusted net yards per pass attempt. He’s also completed over 70 percent of his passes and thrown for over 4000 yards.

If Rodgers has a clean pocket, he should be able to cook this Bears’ defense just like he did in week twelve when they put up 41 points. Trubisky is still in an audition for a contract extension coming into this week and trying to show that he can steer a team to the playoffs as the quarterback. As long as Rodgers continues to do his thing and finishes out a spectacular regular season and Trubisky doesn’t do anything completely unheard of for him, this should come out the right way for the Packers.
