2. Darnell Savage

Speaking of future cornerstones, Darnell Savage is looking like a stud at the safety position. The Packers traded up for him in 2019 and we are beginning to see exactly why that is.

Savage has been all over the field over the last four to five weeks and is beginning to make game-changing plays the Packers’ defense has been missing for some time. He’s flying to the ball and now has four interceptions over the last four weeks.

Savage’s coming of age play is huge. He perfectly compliments fellow safety Adrian Amos and defensive coordinator Mike Pettine has been putting both of them in the best positions to succeed. If Savage continues his strong play, the sky is the limit for this Packers’ defense.
