The bench unit for the Milwaukee Bucks looks much different this season. Let’s take a look at some bold predictions for each player.

General Manager Jon Horst and his staff overhauled this roster to try and build a championship team, in hopes of bringing the Milwaukee Bucks their second ever NBA championship. To build a championship roster, there have to be consistent contributions from both the starting rotation and the top-end bench players. In this article, I will make a bold prediction for each member of the bench mob, however, I will not be including players on two-way contracts as we are not sure if they will contribute at a meaningful level this year.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo

Thanasis Antetokounmpo has not had a major role for the Milwaukee Bucks or in the NBA during his career. He has only played a total of 22 games in the NBA, two games for the Knicks in 2015-2016 and 20 for the Bucks in the 2019-2020 season. Therefore it can be hard to have a bold prediction because we have not been able to find a true baseline for Antetokounmpo.

Prediction: Thanasis Antetokounmpo will play in over half of the games for the Bucks in the 2020-2021 season.

Jordan Nwora and Sam Merrill

Second round rookies are another group of players that are hard to judge and develop bold predictions for. Rookies are hard to judge in any sport and at any part of the draft, but rookies that were selected in the last 15 picks of the draft can be especially difficult to predict.

That being said, these two rookies, in particular, do have one skill set that can set them apart and give them roles on this team. That skill set is their ability to shoot the basketball. That is how these two can see meaningful playing time for the Bucks, given that their skill-sets are especially important when playing with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Prediction: Jordan Nwora and Sam Merrill will both average over 12 points per game while shooting over 40 percent from three-point range.
