Brook Lopez

Brook Lopez has been an important player for the Milwaukee Bucks in recent years. He brings a few important aspects to this team that they do not have in the same combination without him. The combination of size, rebounding, his boxing out ability, outside shooting, inside scoring, and rim-protecting is unmatched on this team and potentially in the NBA.  Lopez is a very talented player and one that I feel is overlooked at times due to the NBA moving to smaller, more versatile players. That said, I still think he is very important to this Bucks team for all the reasons I just mentioned.

During the 2019-2020 season, we did see Lopez take a slight step back in terms of effective field goal percentage. According to Basketball-Reference, last season, he had his worst eFG percentage since the 2011-2012 season. I expect to see this number increase with the additions that Horst has made during this offseason.

Lopez has also been very good at rim-protecting for the Bucks. He has had the most blocks per game of his career each of the last two seasons in Milwaukee. Even with the defensive additions of Holiday and Torrey Craig, I expect this to get better as well for Lopez.

Prediction: Brook Lopez will shoot a career-high from three-point range while leading the league in blocks per game with 3.
