Green Bay Packers: 6 predictions for 2021 Pro Bowl Roster
5. Robert Tonyan
Robert Tonyan is having a breakout year for the Packers and seems to get better each and every week. After Green Bay released tight end Jimmy Graham in the offseason, it was unclear who would emerge as the go-to player at the position. Jace Sternberger seemed to be the first one up, with third-round draft pick Josiah Deguara and veteran Marcedes Lewis also in the mix. However, Tonyan has emerged as the clear and unquestioned leader.
With two weeks remaining, Tonyan has caught 49 receptions for 551 yards and 10 touchdowns–those numbers more than double his previous career totals. At 6-foot-5, he’s a big body Rodgers trusts near the endzone and someone who can go up and high-point the ball and haul it in with strong hands. He should be rewarded with his first trip to the Pro Bowl.
