Packers: 5 biggest 2021 Draft needs based on 2020 season

4. Inside linebacker

The Packers allowed Blake Martinez to walk last free agency and signed Christian Kirksey in his steed. Unfortunately, the only thing Kirksey has proven is that he’s not a viable long-term solution. He’s too stiff in coverage and doesn’t possess the athletic ability to run sideline to sideline anymore.

Kamal Martin and Krys Barnes have both flashed (more specifically Martin), but the front office would be smart to add another mid-round pick to the mix considering both have struggled with injuries. A backer who can either excel in the run game or coverage would be great, as defensive coordinator Mike Pettine (if he’s still around) loves to use specialized personnel.
