Loser: National NBA media

The favorite talking point of NBA media across every platform over the last two(!) years has been Antetokounmpo and potential free agent destinations in 2021. They barely bothered to talk about him staying, instead, bypassing that conversation to jump entirely on the bandwagon of bigger and sexier markets.

They loved to talk about which superteam or big market he’d sign with next summer. Yes, they had clicks and tv time to sell, however, it seemed like a disingenuous process from the start. Now, they’ll have to turn their attention to some other poor team as they speculate what could happen next.
