1. Donte DiVincenzo

The smart money is on Donte DiVincenzo who, along with Connaughton, is a Budenholzer guy through and through. DiVincenzo was impressive in the regular season last year before hitting a slump in the bubble. However, Budenholzer was impressed with how he responded in the last three to four postseason games against the Miami Heat.

DiVincenzo hasn’t quite developed the outside shot the Bucks are hoping for–hitting only 33.6 percent of his threes in 2019-20. However, he’s a slasher with a good feel for when to cut to the basket and the athleticism and touch to finish around the hoop. That can offset some of his shooting woes.

DiVincenzo is also a good off-ball defender who understands how to exploit passing lanes. His on-ball defense needs some work. He’s probably the best player on this list and if that’s the route Budenholzer wants to go, DiVincenzo is his man.
